Inside an Effy audio room

Every live session runs in a room attached to a community space. This page explains what you see once you are in one.
Stage and audience
- Host: opens the room, manages speakers and can close the session.
- Speakers: on stage with an active microphone.
- Audience: listening, able to raise a hand to be invited on stage.
Controls
- Mute and unmute your own microphone at any time.
- Hosts can mute a speaker, move them to the audience or remove them from the room.
- Send a quick reaction instead of speaking over someone.
- Leave whenever you want; the room stays open until the host closes it.
Privacy
Audio is streamed peer-to-peer between participants and is not recorded or stored by Effy. Recording other participants without their consent is prohibited under our Terms and Privacy Policy.
