Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Effy (the “Service”). The Service is provided by Effy, the seller’s legal business name (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Effy on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

1. The service

Effy is a subscription productivity app that turns plain-language input into a scheduled day, keeps a prioritised task inbox, generates AI briefings and sub-task breakdowns, and connects you with study and work accountability partners through co-working spaces, partner search and messaging. Effy Pro adds unlimited partner profile reviews, undo, visibility of pending partner requests and unlimited AI planning. Effy is a productivity and accountability tool; it is not a dating, romantic introduction or matchmaking service.

2. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You are responsible for the content, photos and profile details you publish.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular you must not:

• use Effy unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or harassment of other members;
• use partner search or messaging for dating, romantic or sexual solicitation, or for any purpose other than study, work and accountability collaboration;
• upload photos or content you do not have the rights to, or that infringe anyone’s intellectual property;
• upload illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or deceptive content, or impersonate anyone;
• interfere with security — malware, probing, scraping, circumventing usage limits or other technical restrictions;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service.

4. AI features

Effy uses AI models to schedule tasks, write briefings, break tasks into sub-steps and score partner compatibility. You are responsible for your prompts, for the content you submit, and for reviewing outputs before relying on them. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. You must not use AI features to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech or malware, or to attempt to jailbreak the models. We may filter, refuse, remove or restrict content and outputs, and we may suspend accounts for repeated violations. Rights-holders can request takedown of infringing content by contacting us; repeat infringers lose access.

5. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, design, branding and documentation. You keep ownership of the content you upload and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Effy within your selected plan.

6. Payment and subscriptions

Effy Pro is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our reseller and are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy and Pricing pages.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

7. Service level and warranties

We work to keep Effy available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these terms.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You can stop using Effy and delete your account at any time; on termination your data is deleted or anonymised after a short export window.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the revised date above.
